Sometimes (it depends on whats coming in on that week). I get my stuff from all over the place really (local shops, onlines, distributers, mailing lists etc). Its just a case of taking the time to hunt things down. Some local people I know like to moan and complain about the tunes I posses when they are not even willing to get off their own arse and track them down. Does my head in.

hunting down tracks is all part of it to me, i love it, you should have seen me in Avid last month, i was like a kid let loose in a room full of toys and chocolate

hunting tunes is half, well, 3/4 of the fun for me :D

Its looking like Feb at the moment so im told. It's apparantly gonna be released on an ep with Digital + Future Cut remixes. I even heard a video is in the process to make it a bit more "chart friendly" (if you know what I mean). Top ten material, maybe?. lol.

The Digital remix is finished though. Can be heard on the dubplates page of DOA.

From what I heard (which wasn't a lot due to a not great sound system, too much alcohol and a head full of flu) the original riff is pretty much the same but it sounded like it was played through a different instrument. I think the beats were quite different as well.

Please don't quote me on any of this as last night is all a bit of a blur.

Shy FX played the Future Cut remix of Shake Ur Body last night at Raising The Deep.

The sound system in there isn't too hot but from what I could make out this remix is definitely the better one of the two.

Watch out for this one.

It has Future Cut and Total Science IIRC (I have the Future Cut side labelled)

The main riff is through guitar by the sounds of things, but filtered...and it is a CHOOOOOON!

I won't pay anymore than normal price for that choon. It's on overkill now, just can't stand hearing it half the time.

If I was to say "Nasty Ways" here does anybody see the connection?

It's the same thing all over again - Shake Ur Body has been getting aired on plate for ages (just like Nasty Ways was) an dwhen it finally comes out it's a bit of a dissapointment.

I mean lets be honest here - we will probably all buy a copy, play it a handfull of times and then it will just stay in the box with the rest of the vinyl coz we'll all get bored of it too quickly.

Well that's what I think anyway.

ok, I lied, went record shopping in London yesterday, saw a promo of it sat in the racks at 5.49 and I couldnt resist

it was about 3.30 to 4pm in the afternoon, sat in amongst the new release dnb...im so suprised I got me mits on it, after the way its been selling on ebay and the likes, maybe they put more out and I got lucky, but i was really expecting all the decent stuff to be gone, it was a spur of the moment decision to go to London at about half past 12 in the afternoon yesterday lol

oh, picked up square off on dope dragon for 3.50 aswell, defo my purchase of the day that one :)

lol I was thinking the same thing when i got mine on Saturday, but theres been a few floating about on there so I dont think they'll get as much as they have been, plus its out in 12 days

think i'll keep mine hehe, if i'd have got it a month earlier it would have been straight on ebay and I'd have just waited for a release copy :)

Both are sweeeeeet when heard out! I likes the Digital & Spirit remix though.
