@klusta: well i know we're both pdx2000 boys and ive heard ppl refer to the texture of the pdx2000 platter as "sandpaper" compared to technics lol
how would one go about giving it a nice smooth polish?

I tried all kinds of shit slipmats, make sure their cotton. I have old bed sheets that have lasted as slipmats for over seven years and they slip as soon as you touch the record and go when you let go.
Its all you need and they dont cost a penny.

If you have thick felt slipmats throw them in the bin or cut some old plastic inner sleeves and put them underneath.
