You've probably seen the thread discussing this forums creation - find it here (http://dnbforum.com/showthread.php?t=28726) - I thought it would be a good idea to create it as I'm heavily into Dubstep myself, and I know many other forum heads are into Grime, UK Hip-hop, Breakcore, Breaks, and Dubstep as well as our beloved Drum & Bass!

So anyway, that's it! Discuss!

I've been listening to quite a bit of dubstep last week or two and it seems shockingly obvious to me that Photek is the godfather of dubstep, if not its daddy. With some detroit techno ho as its mummy (definitely reminds me of the dubby side of ghettotech - sounds very similar).

Not nearly as well produced as dnb (Playstations, cut and paste?) but has a brooding hidden energy like good techstep. Don't think it will become as popular as garage or even dnb but will cross over, filter through and invigorate other styles.

Shit, might even try and make my own. I'm constantly hitting a production wall with dnb.
