and I'm wondering how to get it sound like that. From there on it's basically trial and error for me :)

i imagine i it involves clever work on the attack, sustain and release... a bit of lfo and an unfathomable combination of waveforms... if i knew, my producing career would be moving so much faster

thats an awesome sound. no idea how to make it, but it doesnt sound like a big deal. do your reece from square waves? and using the sound of reverbed synth vs. hped clean synth

That wheezy iron bass sound? Sounds like two sounds layered. You can hear that very first bass hit at the same time as the wheezy sound. Id say something along these lines ... http://www.mediafire.com/?49xsvgm0sy9r084 layered with that first bass hit sound.
