Apparently theres magnets in the bottom, and when you push the cup onto the dispenser it pushing the magnet up, activating the pump, and when you pick the cup up, the magnet goes back into place.
Personally, on a logical note....extremely wasteful, pointless and expensive. But then again, theyve combined magnets and beer, fair play to em.

i dont know about pointless and expensive, he did 16 pints in a minute, imagine this in a club, they'd make a killing

I'd buy one!
Onslaught's right...this has got to be the future right here!
Majority of clubs i go to no one drinks a drop, one of the reason clubs in london are dropping like flies. lol.
But bear in mind that they have to take money between customers, sort out change etc. Wouldnt make too much of a difference.
But as i say, its still immense, and i'd still buy them. Repeatedly.

Yeah, to be fair it does seem quite wasteful, can you re-use them, and if you're a half skilled bar-monkey, you can pour like 3 or 4 pints at a time anyway... I don't know if it would catch on that quick, I'd imagine they'd be most useful at things like football matches etc, rather than clubs or bars.

I'm coolio bro, drank 3/4 of a bottle of Sailor Jerrys n nailed 1/2 a g of Mandy last night, so feeling properly fragile, been crying at Eastenders & various childrens films, whilst being unable to eat or ejaculate.
Fancy giving me an e-hug? :(

lets hug (no homo)
Seeing as your an east anglian soldier, i was at Hintlesham Hall ( if you know it) yesterday for a wedding, half the building was hired out, beef dinner and champagne and such, wasnt really my thing to be honest, would hate to think of the overall costs of the evening, i managed to refrain from going to the bar seeing as it was 7 quid for a single malt whiskey
:)
7 sheet fuuuuuu...
Don't know that place.
Rest sounds spiffing to me though, but then again I will use any excuse to go to a stately property, dress in Tweed & wear a Cravatte/Monacle combo, drink Port & tell everyone my name is Ruprect-Sebastian Smythe III.

see this in the paper today too, heres a vid of a record 56 pints in a minute, some aren't full though and theres 2 people taking em off, still amazing though.

My point still stands that its not actually any quicker cos you have to have the customer pay etc. =P
It'd be awesome at places where drinks are included or something. Like All inclusive hotels where you got like a wrist band that gets you free drinks, or at a private function where the drinks are paid for by the organiser.
