well,
legaly youre not supposed to play a tune out, even when you own a legal copy, without the permission of the owner. But that translates into a fee clubs pay every year to an organisation which passes those fees to the right hands.
On the matter of illegal cd copys, obviously youre not suppose to do it in the first place, let alone play them at the club.
Now, apart from legal stuff, remember theres an ettiquete between djs. That really narrows down to <<DONT PLAY UNRELEASED TUNES>>. Its well easy to find dubs on the internet nowdays, but really, dont be tempted. Unless youre playin at a trance fest, someone will take note of a certain dub, and questions will be asked, with comonly bad effects to your reputation, if you have any.
good luck at your quest to DJ superstardom :beers:
thanks yo,
i thought that info would be easy to find, but strangely i couldn't.
thx again
the same tv_g im gonna put in my mix?
how about this one: im a mobile dj and i have a load of cds that obv ive bought, am i allowed to spin legally?
Mobile as in back-of-a-van ?
Go for it anyway man,
The odds of getting sued for playing tunes out, are lower than getting eatten by your pet cat.
And i know....fuking cats...
lol nah as in mobile disco - i get bookings and do kids discos, weddings and shit like that...otherwise i spin drum and bass at home..

<shit, thats defo pirate copy, quick call BMG, lets nail that biatch >
